The role:

The Product Partnerships Manager will develop and build on the lessons from recent special edition launches. They will build a partnerships pipeline which support Brompton’s purpose, using collaborations with brands to unlock new opportunities, introduce our product to new customers and to help Brompton develop its internal capabilities. The candidate will report into Head of Partnerships (Marketing) with a dotted line to the Product Director. They will work to bring a new vision of the product guided by developing Brompton’s perception and visibility as a brand. The role is full-time to deliver the best possible Special Editions and Collaborations, across Bikes, P+A and services. Most of their time will be spent at the Greenford factory, where they can help partners understand how unique Brompton is.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify key product partnership opportunities globally through working cross functionally to understand relevancy of products in different territories and customers that collaborations could target.
  • Asses each project’s commercial viability, responsible for building out commercial objectives and gathering approvals from senior management.
  • Approach new partners and maintain existing partner relationships, organise information in a consistent manner, representing Brompton professionally.
  • Develop a pipeline (roadmap) of special editions which support Brompton’s strategic goals whilst testing and re-defining the business’ internal challenges to deliver new and exciting projects.
  • Work with the Marketing team and collaboration partners to develop engaging launches which will maximise the reach of the product into targeted channels.
  • Build out the story of the collaboration, working with the marketing and design teams, into something that can be digested by the business, helping understand the wide variety of potential benefits.
  • Hand hold the project through to a successful launch, ensuring there are no late surprises.
  • Chair steering groups on large projects or update teams with information on smaller projects, feeding into the monthly Product roadmap cycle.
  • Review, track and report to the business on the metrics of a successful partnership.

Job requirements

Who you are:

  • Outgoing and enthusiastic approach with a will to network and build out new and long-lasting relationships internally and externally.
  • Must enjoy detailed project management and closing off details.
  • Can combine being strategic, tactical, analytical and influential, a coalition builder.
  • A team player of open and cooperative nature who enjoys problem solving.
  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment and open to change.
  • Somebody that has a personal interest in cycling. You don't need to be a bike enthusiast but understands the cycling culture. 

Desired Experience:

  • Product management and commercial experience in dealing with various types of partnerships.
  • Previous roles could include product marketing, PR or communications with experience of working execution of best-in class marketing campaigns.
  • Client facing experience including negotiation is valuable.

  • 9 Day Fortnight – This is a flexible working pattern which individuals can opt in for where an employee works their contractual hours across 9 days instead of 10 days. (i.e. 80 hours across 9 days instead of 10 days). This mean the individual would work an additional hour across Monday to Thursday (across the 2 week period) to gain their Friday off.
