About the IT Infrastructure Manager role:

Brompton have ambitious plans and have invested heavily in technology across the business in-order to help deliver growth. The primary objective for the role is to develop the strategy for our global IT Infrastructure to ensure that our systems are secure, standardised & stable.

Key responsibilities:

Day to Day Operations

  • Manage the existing on premise, AWS & Azure server infrastructure and 3rd party support providers and contracts ensuring that availability and capacity is closely monitored.
  • Manage the LAN, WAN infrastructure, WiFi, VPN & firewalls at our head office location in Greenford along with ensuring that secure, stable connectivity is provided into our retail business and satellite offices working closely with 3rd party providers where required.
  • Ensure that appropriate backup and disaster recovery solutions are in place for all critical systems and are routinely tested.
  • Manage the configuration of our Office 365 tenant to follow best practice for security and ease of use and enabling us to advantage of new functionality as it is released.
  • Work closely with the Digital Product Manager to ensure that the Brompton E-Commerce platform are properly controlled.
  • Manage the group policy configuration & security settings used on our EUC devices to provide a secure and standardised desktop environment
  • Utilise automation tools / scripting where appropriate to manage our environments as efficiently as possible.
  • Provide 3rd line support to the IT Service Desk to resolve incidents / respond to requests as needed.
  • Develop and deliver a cloud infrastructure strategy that consolidates our server infrastructure to a single hosted provider.
  • Develop and deliver multi-factor & single sign on authentication solution working with SaaS providers to ensure that our on-prem / cloud systems, infrastructure are appropriately secured.
  • Provide technical leadership to the IT / Digital team ensuring wider buy in, adoption and support for infrastructure strategy & changes.
  • Manage 3rd party infrastructure providers ensuring that they deliver in line with our agreed service levels
  • 5+ years IT experience including 2+ years managing Infrastructure as a Service applications and exposure to Microsoft technologies and security methodologies.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting / problem solving skills & a can do attitude.
  • Knowledge working within an ITIL Framework and exposure of GDPR requirements.
  • Powershell and SQL scripting experience advantageous.
  • This role requires someone with an excellent balance of technical, business process & leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work out of office hours when needed.
