Our mission is to transform the way people live in cities. With over 16 million possible combinations of gears, colours, handlebars and accessories, we make more than just a bicycle, and we are more than just a bicycle company.
We continue to make the Brompton in West London, where we started in 1975, but our product has travelled far - we now export 80% of our bicycles to 45 countries.
To change urban living, we need passionate, innovative and talented people that want to challenge the status quo and make an impact.
In the past 18 months we have made progress in developing our eCommerce business, with the launch of Click+Collect for our bikes in the UK and the expansion of our sales of parts and accessories to more international markets. However, eCommerce is still in its infancy at only 5% of our sales, and an external review has highlighted that in order to achieve our eCommerce and omni channel goals, we need to significantly enhance our eCommerce processes, systems, data and talent to create a scale-able eCommerce platform and business which is integrated into an omni channel experience.
As the Finance Manager for eCommerce, you will be the lead finance person for our eCommerce channel - the fastest growing area of the business! You will be working closely with the Head of Finance in the newly created role, challenging current processes and creating new ones that are scalable and able to meet the needs of the growing eCommerce channel. Not only will you be working with the finance team but you will be required to partner with other departments enabling them to deliver against budgets, targets and KPIs.
The occupant should be a self-starter, who is capable of managing internal and external deadlines. The person in this role should be methodical, thorough, enjoy challenging situations and have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion. Getting things right, attention to detail, ensuring quality and standards are met and reducing error to a minimum are important factors in this position. The successful candidate will have a background in eCommerce. Additionally, a passion for cycling would be a real bonus.
Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
