Job title Electro Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
Responsible to Facilities Manager
About the Company
Brompton wants to transform cities. By providing the means to commute or explore with a bike that you can take anywhere and store anywhere we can make cities better places to live in. Our high-quality products, combined with resurgence in cycling, means that we are enjoying strong, sustained growth. If we are to continue to thrive, we need to recruit great people who can contribute to our ambitious aims. We are a truly global company exporting 80% of our production to 45 countries around the world and intend to produce over 80,000 bikes this year; though we believe we’re just getting started. We can offer you a job you won’t find anywhere else.
Part of this expansion and growth will be driven by an increase in automation and development of machinery and equipment, as such a skilled maintenance technician with an electro-mechanical bias is required to support that ambition. The role will be heavily involved in protecting production capacity through a combination of reactive, planned and preventative maintenance activities. As such experience of a wide variety of equipment types and systems coupled with a sound diagnostic fault-finding capability are essential to delivering the required impact. Working with the Facilities Manager, Manufacturing Engineers and maintenance team, you will define and develop safety, quality and reliability protocols, as well liaise with 3rd party specialists as and when required, to ensure services are provided.
As a maintenance and equipment specialist you will also be involved in developing plans and designs for new production machinery and systems, to assure reliability and servicing ease.
