The role:

Our network of retail stores has expanded significantly in China and the Asia Pacific region in recent years. This includes our own Brompton Junction stores that operate as flagship brand destinations for Brompton customers and our highly engaged community in cities across the world.

Marketing for our Brompton Junction stores have expanded rapidly over recent years and this role will be responsible for elevating the Brompton brand & marketing across our retail network (dealer & key accounts) and Junction stores by leading marketing activation and developing the retail blueprint for our whole retail network in China.

This role will help shape the Junction marketing strategy and be a key stakeholder in implementing joint retail marketing plans with our retail network. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience within the retail marketing area and be able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently. Approaching retail marketing with a commercial and creative mindset, you will be capable of reporting to senior management on commercial performance and results.

Measures of success

  • Implement Junction & Retail VM guidelines.
  • Manage local Junction & Retail marketing calendar.
  • On time and on budget delivery of all marketing campaigns.
  • Deliver best-in-class customer experience across stores.
  • Process improvement of retail marketing - including visual merchandise/point-of-sale/product launches/community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brompton Retail Marketing Development & Delivery
  2. Develop & manage Brompton Junction stores & retail network marketing calendar and coordinate marketing activities – including product launches, VM/POS delivery, digital asset requests.
  3. Closely coordinate with Brompton Junction stores and events marketing team to plan and help execute Junction store launches, events and community engagements.
  4. Support Brompton Junction stores with best practice on social media and local area marketing activities.
  5. Create tracking for Brompton Junction stores marketing activities and report back to management on a monthly and yearly basis.
  6. Elevate the Customer Retail Experience & Journey
  7. Support the development of a connected customer experience & journey at all stores.
  8. Align with marketing & sales team to deliver retail market plans and objectives.
  9. Work in conjunction with Global and APAC marketing team to deliver creative brief for VM/POS requirements for each project (product launch or update).
  10. Keep VM and POS guidelines up to date and train Brompton Junction stores.
  11. End to end management of VM and POS, from creation, to brief, to implementation and delivery.
  12. Oversee supplier relationships and manage invoicing, purchase orders and cost tracking, find cost efficiencies where possible with contracts/budgets.

Additional Duties

  • Be an advocate for Brompton’s B Corp commitment.
  • Budget and procurement management.
  • Monthly reporting, track impact and ROI on monthly and yearly basis.
  • Continual assessment and improvement of the Brompton retail guidelines, VM and POS offering to elevate Brompton brand display in-store.

Desired Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a retail marketing environment, with a combination of multi-site retailer marketing exposure and/or brand marketing experience within retail industry.
  • Knowledge of global and China retail landscape and trends.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within a global, multi-region premium brand or retailer.
  • Experience building and managing large-scale marketing plans and budgets.
  • Experienced with managing multi-channel retail marketing campaigns.
  • Proven project management experience with multi-site retailers, ideally within Visual Merchandising or Point-of-Sale projects.
  • Proven key account marketing experience, managing joint marketing campaigns between brand and retailer.
  • Line management experience.
  • This role will require travel to Junction and retail stores across China.
